A gentle breeze swelled over the lake like a breath from fleshy lungs. It passed across the surface of the water, carrying ripples from the east and towards the west. Waves that could barely be classified as such, minute disturbances serving only to remind the few creatures lingering around the lake that the world was alive and that time passed. Otherwise, in the calm and still, you might think the world had frozen for how peaceful it felt. Myra felt it, down in her soul she recognized the rich serenity here and it made her breath a relieved sigh. Even alone it felt okay to rest here, like mother earth and greater powers would let nothing happen. Nothing to break their creation and picture perfect landscape that day upon the Lake.
The brindle woman approached the water's edge, that calm breeze carrying over across her face and nose various strange and exciting aromas. Things she did not recognize, things she could not immediately see but she knew must be out there somewhere. Immediately she did not drink- instead she stood staring across the water and towards the farthest shores from her- head unnaturally turned just slightly to her right so her left eye could see more of the lake across from her. Black right eye swinging in response as if able to see just as well, instead only flickers of light reflecting off the water's surface could be caught in the dark eye's gaze. Myra exhaled- her decorated chest sinking and then swelling with the calm inhale of the fresh air around her. "speaking"Ever Faith

"It's not a bad spot to take a breather," Sirona muses aloud as she approaches the brindled figurine before her. From the way her diaphragm expanded and deflated, the pale figurine could guess that the stranger was taking in the fresh air (and enjoying it too). It has been a long time since she has enjoyed good company, one not fraught with uncertainty and the need to keep about her wits. She misses the times when life had been simple and those around her had been familiar. Starting afresh was both frustrating and time consuming but already, the white figurine had come to crave conversation - even the idle ones about nothing in particular. The lake is untouched - the surface tension unbroken by any external factor, a picturesque location for any newcomer like herself. Though uninvited, Sirona seats herself on her haunches a little ways away from the other, head cast in the brindled figurine's direction as dark orange gaze appraises her. She's young - or at least, younger than herself. But Sirona had long learn that age was hardly a reflection on one's capabilities. "I'm Sirona," she introduces herself as she casually steps forward and stretches out her back and her shoulders, "I hope you don't mind my company." And if the brindled stranger did mind, Sirona wasn't sure that she'd leave right away anyhow. Myra

"Indeed." Myra's voice reacted before her mismatched eyes turned and aligned onto Sirona, one a vivid treasure and the other seemingly almost sickly in its blackness and the way it didn't quite focus onto the stranger's face. The youthful woman's voice seemed older than her face, the suggestion of maturity beyond her years. Youth and childhood had not suited Myra- her heart longed to serve and be essential beyond herself. Without want of play or pointless merriment Myra had found being an adult, even acting one beyond her own age, to be more pleasing to her heart. "Not in the slightest Sirona, I'm Myra." Her return greeting came with a gentle smile along her dark muzzle, the broken brindle stripes scrunching up as she did so.
"Beautiful places like this always make my mind wander to things greater and beyond, so good I suppose to be reminded that there's things right here to enjoy too." Of course whether or not Sirona's company ended up beind entirely enjoyable by the end of this encounter remained to be seen. Myra did not mind however the random odd conversation with a stranger. They were all creatures of the earth after all, fighting the same battle to survive. It did the heart good to have allies in it. Ever Faith

thankfully, the other woman doesn't seem to mind the company, taking Sirona's abrupt appearance all in her stride. For that, the white figurine is silently grateful, yearning to chat and perhaps even gather some information about the lands. She wonders if Myra may know more than she. At her introductions, Sirona offers her a small little smile of her own and an amicable nod of her head. She mulls over Myra's statement then, savouring the very thought in the back of her mind. It's all true and Sirona herself had felt the very same way only a day or so before. "Have you seen the ocean yet?" she asks gently, gaze returning to be cast over the lake's pristine surface, "it makes you realise just how small you are in the grand scheme of things."A pause as Sirona remembers that very feeling of being insignificant - in some ways, it had made her feel better - reassured her that what might seem big to her wasn't all that important after all. Seeing the sea had all but offered her some perspective, one that had stayed put in her mind a long time afterwards. "Are you familiar with these lands, Myra?" she asks, head shifting towards her younger company with mild curiosity, wondering how and why she found herself at this exact spot. Myra

An ocean? Sure it was a thing she'd heard of before, water so far you couldn't see land at the other side. Undrinkable, beautiful and turbulent. It sounded too marvelous and strange a sight to be true but what was a faithful woman who did not believe without seeing? There were plenty of days she saw things she did not believe could have existed otherwise, and they'd existed without her seeing them. What world she built in her head was not the entirety of it all- if Sirona knew of an ocean nearby then Myra had no reason not to believe. "I haven't." That ocean, or any ocean for that matter. In her words came wonder, a little bit of pleasing excitement. She cared to see one, someday.
"My family told me stories of this land, but it's my first time here myself." Her brown toes curled, claws pulling at the dirt and letting it sink in between her toes. "This is the place though, I'm sure of it. There's a watchful eye here- just like they said they always felt." There was no room for doubt in her voice, not when every bit of her soul knew her search had come to an end and she'd made it home where her mother and father had always wanted to go... Aren rest their souls. "Are you? This is an awfully special place to be." Should Sirona be so lucky to know the heart of the earth better than Myra.
