a storm billows in from the borders, peach eyes bright with a frivolous energy that contradicts the miserable sky and feeble drizzle of rain. the towering woman's pelt is dark to begin with, but her flanks bleed as black as her rorschach as the mist settles across her spine, the dry smile that coils at her lips a direct contrast to the dimming light. these lands are new to yindra, but the weather is not — nor is the idea of this barren stretch of land. many valleys seem to form similarly, lush grounds accessible only by trekking through the worst of it, and despite a generally realistic approach to life the woman is optimistic of what she might find on the other side of these open wastes.
squinting, letting her eyelashes catch the weak precipitate, the lioness pauses in her strides. it's difficult to tell in the haze, but yindra is certain that her estimations are correct, confident that there's a line of trees emerging in the vast distance. smirking smugly the tailless woman adjusts her course, lengthening her stride and moving with more purpose than previously: she had her heading.

The outskirts are an open opportunity to bolster his ranks. Although most of the time his wanderings here every few days turned up fruitless, it didn't stop him from returning. Wolfgang wasn't the sort to easily give up. So when he treks the newly-familiar trails through the sparse treeline, he was quick to pick up on a fresh, unfamiliar scent. Through the faint mist of rain he changed his course, padding with more purpose toward the source. The dark form grew visible through the haze, and Wolfgang let out a chuff of greeting. "Exploring, or looking for shelter?" he called out as he drew close enough, "The tundra will take you." It was a claim, because she was alone and he felt the outskirts didn't need games of cat and mouse - it was simpler this way. "What are you called?"Yindra

even a straightforward path can become something inherently less basic with a mere alteration of course—and not necessarily her own. with the rain misting down, the well-built lioness doesn't necessarily see the approaching lion before they arrive, only recognising the shape for what it is when they're close enough to distinguish a colour different to the trees on her horizon. steel brows lift with surprise and interest, having believed herself alone in her damp adventures, though their tone is enough to confirm that this isn't just anyone. yindra has not come across a kindred spirit, but instead one of political power. " it can't be both? " she asks, the smile that splits her dark maw almost cheeky when she raises her voice in kind. it falters a little with their claim, brows pulling briefly before allowing one to drag back upward with faint disbelief. “ i hope you don't mean to suggest looking for shelter in the tundra. " open flatlands are far from the czech lioness' ideas of suitable shelter, and there's a brief homesickness for underground cities filled with lakes and hidden falls. her words are not meant to come across as unkind, but snow has never meant good things in her history—if a blizzard was fierce enough, her family could be trapped inside the caves for months at a time; she did not fancy returning to such a place. but neither would she dispute it. much as yindra enjoyed a good fight, she'd been in this land not ten minutes and had been hoping to make something of a good impression. a neutral one, at least. so the smile returns, pushing such thoughts determinedly aside to be as genuine as possible. “ yindra novák, " the stormcloak offers, head tilting somewhat in expectation of reciprocation, “ and yourself? what should i call you? “ a name? a title? lord of the treeless lands? a spark amusement alights pastel eyes at the thought, grin broadening as they flicker toward the formless haze behind the brunette where she assumes the tundra must sprawl. @ Wolfgang

Could it be both? Wolfgang had to consider that for a brief second as he came to a halt by the inky lioness. "Usually not." he replied. At least, that was how he tended to think of it. You were either looking for something or you stopped. The vaguely-insulting perspective of the tundra drew a lifted brow out of the spotted lion, considering the woman with a patient but slightly perplexed expression. "The tundra is the territory," he replied with even confidence, "The caves we live in are warmed by springs." He had found it appealing, and the territory was rich with resources. "Wolfgang Besra," was the answer provided in kind, "Emperor of Ifari." that wouldn't get old - not to his ego at least. "Have you travelled far?"Yindra
