There was news on the wind. More like, scents. On his wandering to the plains yesterday he'd caught interesting signals that the northern beaches had suddenly taken up an occupant. So that next morning he'd decided to investigate.

Arriving at the beaches, the maneless lion was feeling a little warm. Although the coast was cooler than the inland forests to a degree, it was also much warmer up north than he was used to and he couldn't help but seek the shelter of a blustered palm tree as he drew clother to the borders. They were fresh - almost as fresh as Ifari's. This new emperor probably hadn't taken this place much later than he'd claimed the tundra.

A chuff was sent up, seating himself at the border as he awaited an audience with this... fellow ruler.

In the cove sheltered from a day of sea air Walford laid among rocks and shrubs. Laying there in silence he could smell a new scent which was bizarre to him as he from his memory was the only lion to stroll beaches. Intrigued by this unknown scent he knew someone had wondered by his territory he made his way out of the cove following the scent to where this lion is.

As he strolled up the beach dunes there sat a dark brown maneless lion, massive in size as Walford grew near them hi noticed they had brown eyes with a light chin. He sat just before the territory border "You there...Who are you and what is it you seek?" Walford had spoke in that of a convincing tone

The pale man that appeared from over the crest of the dunes before him drew Wolfgang's attention immediately. His scent was of the beaches - salt and seaweed. Wolfgang wasn't accustomed to it. Why someone would want to live along the coast and eat fish was beyond him. Not that it really affected him.

"Wolfgang Besra." he replied evenly, rising to his paws as he found himself suprisingly evenly matched in height. It was rare he came across someone of similiar or taller height than himself. "Emperor of Ifari Tundra." It felt good to say that - finally he had a title behind his name. "I'm assuming your the emperor of... the beach." he didn't mean to sound so dismissive, but he didn't know its proper name.

As Walford approached the lion on the border he spoke his name Wolfgang Besra first name he's heard in awhile, given that he just discovered this territory. He spoke again of which was a title Emperor of Ifari Tundra, this must be another territory the one like his pelt, white as snow, the snow territory he realized how he amuses himself.

As he thought to himself of the territory Wolfgang had spoke a again but this time about Walfords title, "That I am haha...Emperor of the Beach" he giggled in between "Yes I am Walford "Whitemane" Landon, Emperor of Eutela Shore" He spoke proudly. Quite the mouthful, he had a thought to say it again out loud for amusement, "Quite the mouthful ain't it?" He asked giggling away as he amused himself from the long name.

Wolfgang gave Walford a patient, even look. Even as the ocean emperor muddled into short bursts of laughter, the earthen lion was making his mind up about him. Walford, was his name. "Quite." Wolfgang uttered, a little too dryly than he had intended. He was either simple, or incredibly confident in himself to be so light-hearted with something Wolfgang considered incredibly serious.

"How did you come to take the shore, beach king?" he questioned quickly. He didn't share Walfords apparent mirth, instead remaining relatively neutral-faced as he watched the white lion intently.

Wolfgang watched as Walford couldn't stop giggling he remained calm asking another question, How did he become beach king? He stop for a brief moment and finished giggling inhaling a breath of air first before he replied. "Well..how did I you ask?" repeating the question for amusement "I ventured these lands and stumbled on to this beach you see before you..." somewhat boasting "...I wondered down around the beaches and noticed they had been unclaimed only scent but mine." He claimed.

He stood there head up and spoke again "This is my beach, I own all these grains of sand you see before you." holding in what seemed to be another giggle.

Wolfgang's ears flicked forward as he listened to Walford's explanation. He personally didn't really find the humour in the situation. Admittedly, he wasn't the sort for casual giggling with strangers anyway but he weathered it with a neutral expression, watching the ocean emperor's every move. "So do you just," he motioned to the sand around them with a paw, "Live on the sand?" surely it got cold here, if the easterly ocean wind buffeting his flank was any indication.

At the mention of sand, Wolfgang glanced down at the sand beneath his paws. A careful nod bowed his head, trying to figure out what Walford meant by that. He still had no clue how to react to the man. "All of them...?" he echoed with a politely puzzled expression. Did that mean Wolfgang owned every snowflake in the tundra? He almost felt like boasting back.

"Erm, well anyway. I came to talk about... relations between our prides. I wanted to ask how you intended to run things."

Walford had his giggles he was one to confuse or deter them at times, sometimes for good reason or that to hide something. Wolfgang seemly asked about the sand and that if he slept on it implying it would be cold, to him he noticed he didn't know about the cave network which was good in a way, wanting that kept a secret with out arousing suspicion. As the two stood there talking about there Emperor status to each other an important question was brought up.

"You came to talk about relations between our prides?" Aside his giggling and laughter from his simple self amusement he knew he had to be serious. "I tell you now I plan to stay on good terms." he claimed "I see us cooperating, friends to friends if you will or Emperor to Emperor." spoken with a clear confident tone.

Finally the pale lion seemed to take up a more serious tone, and although Wolfgang had been attentively listening already, he found the information coming out of the beach emperor useful. "Good terms it is, then." Wolfgang echoed musingly. He wasn't so young and naive to think of alliances at this stage. Not when he wasn't sure what Eutela could offer him, and admittedly Ifari didn't have much to bargain with either. At this stage it was mostly just setting up foundations and making sure the prides that flanked his territory weren't hostile.

"I expect to be recruiting at the outskirts," he announced after a moment's pause, "So if our paths cross there, I wouldn't want you to think of Ifari as hostile." He let that settle in before speaking again. "Business is business, you agree?"

Wolfgang had agreed to good terms that Walford stated which to him is what he wanted, he knew he wanted no trouble nor problems especially with this new territory claim. In way he thought to himself that this was a good opportunity that this came up now rather than later as that would've caused some implications. Wolfgang had proclaimed about him recruiting on the outskirts and that if anything would to say occur there would be nothing hostile between Eutela and Ifari.

WAlford stood and nodded his head in agreement, "Business is business, I'll ensure no implications occur and you ensure none on your end." spoken with that of a clear tone clearing that up he spoke again. "Agreed, you have your business and I have mine." Implying that he'll stay out of Wolfgang's business so long as he stayed out of his and they would get along just fine.

It was easy terms to agree to, in Wolfgang's opinion. That didn't mean he could predict how Walford would react. He was already having a hard enough time getting a read on the lion's emotions. Wolfgang smothered a content twitch of his whiskers as Walford answered well, his words concise. "Very good." he replied with a polite nod of his head.

"Is there anything else that may concern me to know?" he trailed off, having come to the conclusion he had wanted, but knowing it would be polite to offer the other emperor a chance to ask his own questions if he so wished.

With a nod of agreement from Wolfgang on their terms between them Walford knew this was a great indication they could go on about their business and said recruiting without a hitch or any implications. With this knowledge Walford could mind his own without anyone from the Ifari interfering. With that said Wolfgang had asked if there was anything else of concern that he should know about.

A subtle pause...There was the Hidden Cove but that was more so for space he pondered on that for a brief moment...but realizing them both as one, shifting his body around with his head turned he glared towards the rocks over the dunes Over by the rocks you just see is where we sleep, it shelters us from the winds. Feeling as this should be said to clear up where one would rest. "You are welcome so long as don't cause trouble and I hope the same. Speaking as he turned his back to face Wolfgang.

Walford seemed happy to provide him with more information, offered unexpected hospitality. Although Wolfgang didn't expect himself to be wandering up here too often. Regardless, he gave a gracious nod. "I appreciate that," he answered evenly. It was just a little too warm up here for his tastes.

"If you find yourself near the tundra, you can expect the same hospitality." he added, "But I believe I should be getting back before it's too late." He didn't want to cross the mountains in the dark, and still had some things to take care of. "It was good to meet you, Walford."

And with that he offered a final dip of his head, and turned to pad away over the sands back towards the distant mountains.

A gracious nod was given from Wolfgang to Walford of their friendship, this pleased him knowing he was able to venture to the Tundra with a friendly greeting. "Nice to meet you too Wolfgang." with a polite tone as he turned his he nodded back, turning his head away facing the dunes his body soon shifted the same direction and began to venture back to the cave where he had resting.

Pacing slow then pacing faster as he too knew the dunes could be tricky to maneuver at night as he's still learning the layout of the beach and placements of rocks.
