It was the first pride Yseult scented on the gentle breeze. She was not picky - nothing, the girl reasoned, could possibly be worse than what she had come from. While not quite bold enough to simply enter the pride’s borders, but instead paced quietly along the very edge. Yseult made no attempt to hide herself, nor did she try to draw attention. For now, she was content to walk through the forest and collect what information she could. It didn’t seem like a big pride, or very busy. The fact that it was a pride was all she cared about. It would have food. The winter had been harsh and it showed in the distinct lack of fat on a frame that was built to be stocky and strong. She needed food, to recover, to feel safe - even if that meant this.
The girl had made some attempt at cleaning herself up, to look as pleasing and presentable as possible for when she was eventually found. And if she wasn’t then getting into the pride’s cache wouldn’t be terribly difficult, if it was that empty. Plan A was preferable, however; Yseult wasn’t a fighter. Why make enemies when allies were easier to deal with?
She pulled herself up onto a freshly fallen redwood trunk. It was huge, and gave her a good vantage point further into the pride. But the trees were thick and it was hard to see anything, let alone gather information. The girl sighed and allowed her aching paws a moment to rest, settling comfortably onto her belly.

[attr="class","uthsim"]The quiet serenity of the redwoods is both a blessing and a burden on the aging knight. It's given him ample time to rest and recover, so that his wounds are little more than aching scars, and no ne'er-do-wells have crossed him - both things Uther is incredibly grateful for. But the quiet weighs heavily on his heart. All his life his home was a bustling place, filled with knights and squires and citizens. A friendly face was always around the corner there, and you could never want for company. Goodness, when was the last time Uther had ever truly been lonely like this? But that matters little. Moving through the undergrowth of the Wilds, the scent of another drifts to him on the wind, catching his attention. A visitor! He hadn't had a visitor since Xarera. He finds the newcomer resting on a fallen trunk, a youth of a hunger-pang frame. Goodness, isn't she young! Youths like she aren't usually on their own like she seems to be. What is with this place and homeless children? "Good morrow, young lady," Uther greets as he appears from the underbrush, offering a polite nod of his head. "Welcome to Loscar Wilds. I am Sir Uther Draighen, Archknight of the Draighen Order, and Overseer of the Wilds." With a softer note, he adds, "Thou seemeth to have travelled from on far; I would be glad to offer thee respite hither."YseultMADE BY VEE [googlefont="Roboto"][newclass=.uthsim b]color:#8761cc;font-size:11px;[/newclass]

All things considered, it didn’t take overly long to be found. Yseult looks down at the lion that greets her, materializing from somewhere out of sight. She offers him a small, hesitant smile. Even though she had confidence in this plan, it didn’t mean she wasn’t nervous. But the lion’s words are kind and it helps to settle her a little. "Thank you, sir." The dark girl replies easily, trying to remember all of his titles and deciding that just his name would have to do for now. "I am Yseult." She said simply, no surname or title attached to her. She had come from nothing worth noting. With that she stood, nimbly dropping down from her perch to stand before the bigger lion. "I am tired, sir, but I’m not looking for respite. I’m looking for stability, permanence." A home, though that word doesn’t leave her thin lips. Uther

[attr="class","uthsim"]The small smile that graces the girl's face is nice to see - too often in his younger years had his approach frightened little ones. Though he'd been much more brash and fool-hardy back then, a bit too loud and eager for combat, and Yseult is probably a bit older than the children he's thinking of. Time has mellowed him, hopefully for the better. "A pleasure, young Yseult," Uther greets with a polite nod of his head. Her request brings a cheerful glow to his violet eyes. "Certes, young lady! The redwood welcomes thee, for as long as thou would call it home." His curiosity wants to ask if she is alone, but he knows better than to do so - if it was a traumatic event that isolated her, she'd likely not be too keen to share with an old man she just met. "If ever thou shouldst require assistance, simply call for me, and I shall answer." Any Archknight worth his oath would make the same promise to those under their guard.
