Azriael was taking advantage of the sun, basking in it on a flat top boulder like a lizard. He’d cleared it of snow and ice earlier that day and was rather enjoying his hard work, spread out on his belly with limbs draped out over the edge, front paws bouncing to a tune only he could hear. He looked like a skinned rug that moved too much. The warmer weather made the tundra tolerable. He was still rather bored most of the time, however. Wolfgang couldn’t entertain him all the time, much to Azirael’s disgust. Azriael sighed, loudly and dramatically as he rolled onto his back. The lion’s eyes were shut but he was not yet asleep or had any intention to, really. He wasn’t tired, just enjoying the sun far too much to be bothered moving. Yindra

the sunshine endures, and yindra has high hopes that the snowscape of the tundra might give way early to permanently bare fields of grass and shrubbery. it's still early days yet, and the earth keeps cool and damp underfoot, but the woman allows optimistic thoughts to linger because the alternative is to be depressed about the fucking snow again and she's over that. because it's sunny, she's busy being productive—in the sense of the term where it means giving full reign to her jock-brain and going full-ham exercise mode. her kin aren't here, because she left them in the far northern reaches in search of excitement, and that means most of her typical regime is impossible. sport without competitors is just sad. instead she'll train, looking to push her limits and stretch out her muscles; and as much as she had scorned the tundra for its flatlands, it provides a convenient space for sprinting and endurance. from what she'd been able to tell, the territory was still relatively empty in a way that suggested wolfgang's rule might be kinda new. as such, yindra didn't give too much thought to who else might be around, not even when she'd finished her basic stretches and scoped out the lay of the land. she wriggled her legs out limberly one last time, and then broke out into a sprint without warning, screeching for the sheer sake of hearing her voice echoing about the chilly plains and keeping her lungs warm, “ rrrreeeEEEEEE!!!! He hears the shriek before seeing who made it. It jerks him out of his rest with a start. It grows and builds in volume, as if whatever was making the ghastly noise was getting closer. “What the actual fu-” Azriael quickly rolled back onto his belly and stood, squinting in the bright light. It isn't hard to pinpoint the source of the shreking. There, a dark blot against the otherwise pure white of the fresh snow, was a woman. Running full tilt across the plains like she was being chased by demons or something. He’d be concerned, except the noise she made was clearly one of enjoyment and not terror. Azriael stared. And then he jumped off his boulder and took off after the dark blur as it passed. He had to work hard, using muscles that were half asleep, but he was determined to catch up because - well, why the hell not? Yindra
