It was such a nice day, the air with a gentle breeze, the waves calm little whitecaps and the smell of sea air on the nose. Walford snuggled up had the idea to go for a fish. Waking up stretching from his make shift bed in the cove she pondered to himself to go fish, but down the seafront instead. Fully stretched he made is was down the seafront from the Eutela Shore and found a nifty little spot not too cold and not too windy perfect to catch some fish.
"Ah yes this this the spot." he spoke to himself ever so confidently, like he knew anything about fishing. Standing there glaring out to ocean with distant pelicans around and the pesky seagulls lurking for a easy meal to scab, he had a strong feeling there'd be fish around for sure.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] "The spot for what?" The masked woman crooned, her steps slinking as she crossed over the wind-touseled sand toward the pale beast. She had been watching him for a while, poised near the base of the cliffs where her dark pelt blended into the wind-beaten stone. Hellebore had grown restless in her ocean-watching, and thus when entertainment had presented itself all gift-wrapped she had found it irresistible to investigate. Red eyes glance him up and down. Despite how tall Walford was compared to her, Hellebore wasn't fussed. She held the poise of a much more physically powerful lioness, and her sharp red eyes were even. "Do you often talk to yourself?" she uttered, everthing but the slight lift of her lips in a demure smile displaying no emotion. "" Walford

"AH" screaming out in shock as he jumped around "Who put you there?" He asked with a shocked tone looking from head to toe at the glaring red eyed lioness appearing from nowhere. "Who, what, when, where are you?" still confused he didn't even ask who are you just asking everything possible. Snapping back from a fright he managed to ask a proper sentence "This is the spot to fish..." a brief breath "...And yes I tend to keeps me sane or insane on of the other." he claimed talking to himself keeps his sanity. Water washing up to his paws from the low casting waves "You my red eyed rock bass dear come to fish?" asking nicely but somewhat an insult. Hellebore

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] The white lion seemed alarmed at her emergence, his eyes wide and his words loud. Hellebore stood her ground with a dull expression, though her calculating gaze took in his reaction. There were several questions as the shaken Walford adjusted to the situation, nearly all of which Hellebore chose to ignore. So he was fishing, she discovered. A side-long glance at the water led to nothing interesting so she focused back on the stranger. "I see." she said, with a curt nod of her dark head. Perhaps her hopes had been too high, having been alone for too long. This was, after all, the first occasion Hellebore had been without company for a meaningful amount of time. Though what he said next brought a muted frown onto her dark features. "Yours?" she said delicately, darkly. Hellebore's lips pursed disapprovingly. "I do not fish." she said haughtily, and made a point by seating herself there on the sand, tail curling elegantly at her paws. "But don't let that stop you." "" Walford

The midnight red eyed lioness spoke that she didn't fish but sat down in the soft sand making herself comfortable, seeming that she wanted to see Walford try and fish. Although he hadn't fished in awhile since arriving here but claiming pride he had the idea to try and show off, oh how that works. Turning towards the sea "Let me show you how one fishes." a hint of trust on voice that was somewhat not reassuring, two steps his front paws sat water brushing around him, salt and sand washing in his fur. "Ahhh, yes...not cold...at all." as shivers rolled of his tongue. Hellebore

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] The sea looked cold, and with such a wind beginning to blow in from the horizon she was definitely not eager to take a dip. Hellebore relaxed effortlessly on the sand with a scrutinizing expression, following Walford's movements. "By all means." she answered with words politely honeyed. Perhaps it'd be entertaining to watch him pounce around in the shallows. That was after all, what she expected fishing to be. Hellebore muffled a small laugh as Walford toed with the rushing waves, seeing him shiver. "Not too cold for you, of course?" she teased with a challenging note in her voice. She wasn't about to leave disappointed after he had promised her a show. "" Walford

Cold water brushing his paws holding a breath short of the cold water on his paws and the freezing air blowing against his face through his mane Walford stood tall trying not to shiver. "Ffff...see not that cold.." exclaiming to the lioness as if he was trying show off, taking another step forward inching deeper from the shallows he felt the water get colder now knee deep...Shivers. Knees deep, freezing Walford teeny tiny steps, sand sinking beneath his feet he stopped shivering "Sssee...fff waters fine." he now regretting his decision. Hellebore

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] Hellebore watched him from the sand with amusement playing on her dark face. "Really? Im suprised." she hummed at his stoic words. He was obviously shivering, and honestly Hellebore had expected him to give up the prideful display as soon as his toes got too cold. Yet it appeared this unusual lion was cut of better cloth. She wondered what level of determination (or stubborness) he held. Maybe he was just really hungry. "Oh, I was hoping for an icy dip." she teased from dry land, tail twitching on the sand. "So if it isn't, I wont intrude on your... wading." Was he just trying to impress her, or was this pale lion just naturally like this? Regardless, it was entertaining to see him squirm in the chilled saltwater. "Anyway, weren't you going to fish?" "" Walford

Wet fur, cold face Walford knew he only could bare so much of the coldness. But alas his stubbornness to impress out weighs his stupidity but makes for great amusement as always he knew. Paws now sunk in the gritty sand with the freezing air blowing on his now chilled face he saw that of a fish or school a large school of fish. "Aaha fff...ssssee ffffish." with every word carring extra letters. Frozen still and stuck from the wet sand below his paws he thought maybe he'd try catch a fish or two. But he well knows it will fail "Watch this Midnight lady these fish will be in my mouth with ease."Hellebore

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] Hellebore's ears pricked, humouring the white lion's shivering words. He seemed set on impressing her, and so she settled to a sphinx-like poise on the sand, crossing one dark paw over the other neatly. "I'm sure they will be," she smiled, though it didn't reach her red eyes. It was a civil courtesy, as most emotions were with Hellebore. She wondered what his technique would be. Could he even feel his paws, in water that cold? It would certaintly be difficult to front any calculated hunting technique with numbed paws. "" Walford

Paws frozen stiff to move fur itself almost ice shards Walford was eager to please and a school of fish so happened to swim by the odds he thought. Eyeing down the fish or what seems to be fish he tilted his head forward his nose hovering above the water, "Ah yes yes a fish." he mumbled softly not to emit vibrations on the water disrupting the fish. Although stiff he lifter his right paw slowly with little movement, mustering some energy. Swipe...in an blink of the eye he swiped the fish. "Sssseeee, I ccccan swippppe." Not sure the fish was swiped or not. Hellebore

[googlefont="Playfair Display"] The lion seemed to be gearing himself up, muttering encouraging words to himself that drifted ashore to her pricked ears. He reminded her, a little bitterly, of a child with his enthusiasm. She longed for that carefree mindset; that naivety. Hellebore dug her claws into the sand placatingly and watched him. Would he succeed? Surely with water that cold, it'd be difficult to land anything coherent. "No point staring." she drawled from the sand, peering at him with a fake-bored expression. This was the most entertaining thing she had seen all day along the coast... but he didn't need to know that. "They'll swim away, dear." "" Walford

With fast frozen still swipe he missed the fish, swimming away at fast pace "Ah can sssstill swipe but aaaalas not fast enough." he stuttered to himself forgetting he was still in the frozen water slowing him down. Twisting himself around, waltzing back to the sand he slowly paw by paw he made it back. Paws chilled, fur frozen, the warm sand brought relief heating up his paws. "Ahhhh." he moaned in relief "The fish swam slightly down the ocean, this time I win." with confidence to his tone. Strolling a few metres down the beach he caught a faint glimpse of the fish. [googlefont="Playfair Display"] There was a rush of splashing and a frantic, messy swipe part-hidden by seaspray as Walford struck. He came up fishless, mumbling something Hellebore didn't quite hear. It wasn't until he waltzed back to the warmer sand dripping icy water did she catch his words. "Oh I hope so." she mused, not really believing it. On the off-chance he did though, she wondered if she'd be able to charm a meal out of him. Surely he'd share his catch with a poor helpless lady like herself? Rising to her paws, Hellebore followed Walford down the beach a little way in mostly-feigned interest. He did seem to know what he was doing, even if the cold was making things more difficult. She settled herself to a seated position again with watchful eyes. Hopefully, he'd have it this time.
