PvP.
Here on Solui, we don't like to focus on pvp fighting. There are many ways for your character to achieve things. However, sometimes the simplest way is fighting. There are certain things to be aware of, but if you follow the rules in here, you should have a good chance of winning fights.

In fighting, we do not allow powerplaying.. You can only write about the actions of your own characters, unless you are repeating information your roleplay partner has written in a prior post in that context. You will be penalised in judging if you powerplay.

Another element, is realism. Keep in mind each post in a fight spans at maximum, five (5) seconds. This is a very small time window. Usually, you will be able to fit only one or two actions in each post. Movements shouldn't be extreme, and you must remember to be reactive to your opponent. Forgetting or missing an attack in your reply means it is assumed to have hit. Remember that lions usually use fights as a way of dominance, not to death. Claws and jaws are their primary weapons, and they will aim to overpower or exhaust their opponent. This is the main way staff decide winners.

Be specific. Explain exactly which attacking body part is going where, positioning, where the attack is exactly going to be aimed at and on which side. How is your character in relation to your opponent? Remember, keep movements small and exact.

Play to your strengths. Smaller characters will try keep out of reach and tire out their opponent, whilst a larger character will try to pin down their opponent. Write your attack style realistically.

Defences are assumed, but you will get extra points for defending realistically to your opponent's attacks. Eg. swiping at eye = closing eye and turning head away from the attack. Unecessary defences are considered unrealistic, and grounds for penalty.

All fights are in 3 Rounds, whether each participants posts once per round each. After the third round has finished, staff will review the fight, and announce a winner. The result can then be played out.

All fights have a 48 hr default timer, which cannot be paused.

There is no PvP classes on Solui. However, death matches and pride challenges do not start default timers until a staff members has been able to review the context. We do not have patience for ooc-motivated attacks.

Fight success is determined by dice rolls. Depending on rank, age, and health, a character may have more or less default dice to roll. Generally, characters with more experience and age will have advanatages in fights but overall the dice will ultimately determine the fate. Mistakes like powerplaying or or godmodding will result in an immediate dice reduction, so although the content of your writing isn't super significant, its ideal to keep them succint and rule-abiding for best chances of winning.
