Species Of Solui

On Solui, we have quite a few different species of lion to roleplay as. Most of these are restricted behind the RNG systems of generated characters, so it's encouraged you use that system if you're seeking unusual traits! Here is a general run-down on the characteristics of our lion species.

Common:

Name: African Lion
Sizes: All sizes.
Noticeable Traits: A standard lion.
Uncommon:
Name: Asian Lion
Sizes: All sizes.
Noticeable Traits: Smaller Mane, Usually more slender. Great in tropical environments. 		Name: Barbary Lion
Sizes: All Sizes.
Noticeable Traits: Very large, coarse mane that grows along belly. Somewhat stocky.
Name: Senegal Lion
Sizes: All sizes.
Noticeable Traits: Short, dense manes and often warm-coloured. 		Name: Ethiopian Lion
Sizes: All Sizes.
Noticeable Traits: Always have dark, solid-toned manes.
Name: Tsavo Lion
Sizes: All sizes.
Noticeable Traits: Very short, youthlike mane. Aggressive and well-muscled. Suited to dense pine forests of Solui. 		Name: Katanga Lion

Noticeable Traits: Very large, regal manes that are light in colour. Unusual freqency of albinos and light fur colours.
Rare:
Name: European Lion

Noticeable Traits: Thick, dense mane. Often long-furred and very stocky. High metabolisms. 		Name: Marozi Lion
Sizes: Petite, Small, Munchkin
Noticeable Traits: Average mane and always has a spotted pelt (especially legs and dorsal). Tend to be quite small and mysterious.
Name: Mountain Lion

Noticeable Traits: Always have black tear markings. Very small, and are maneless.
Very Rare:
Name: European Cave Lion
Sizes: Large, Huge, Behemoth, Prehistoric
Noticeable Traits: Massive, short-maned and with light spotting. 		Name: American Cave Lion
Sizes: Large, Huge, Behemoth, Prehistoric
Noticeable Traits: Largest of prehistoric species. Neck/chest tufting only.
Name: Jaguar
Sizes: Petite, Small, Average
Noticeable Traits: Spotted, agile jungle cats who are known for inhabiting the very north of Solui. 		Name: Smilodon
Sizes: Average, Large, Huge, Behemoth, Prehistoric
Noticeable Traits: Always have the sabre teeth mutation. Small neck tufting and very broad, powerful shoulders.
Name: Mosbach Lion
Sizes: Large, Huge, Behemoth, Prehistoric
Noticeable Traits: Known for hunting bears. Huge, powerful skulls and short manes. Broad-faced. 		Name: Siberian Cave Lion
Sizes: Large, Huge, Behemoth, Prehistoric
Noticeable Traits: Thick-maned, heavy-set and built for the snowy landscape. Always light colours or albino.
